League Cup: Leicester Get Rid Of Liverpool

Liverpool’s trip in the English Premier League must stop early in the third round. The Reds left out after losing 0-2 when hosted Leicester City at King Power Stadium on Wednesday (20/09/2017) pm dawn.

In this match both teams alike make changes in the composition of players. Leicester gave Aleksandar Dragovic and Vicente Iborra a chance to make their debut, while Liverpool downgraded Alex Oxlade Chamberlain as a first-time starter.

Chamberlain almost made a glorious starter debut. He got the first golden opportunity in this fight. Unfortunately the former Arsenal player failed to record his first goal for Liverpool after his chances defeated Ben Chillwell.

Philippe Coutinho also had a golden opportunity in the 11th minute. His shot forced Leicester goalkeeper Ben Hamer to fall up to save his goal. Six minutes later Coutinho’s chances again saved by Hamer.

Although more opportunities, Liverpool must enter first in 65 minutes. Substitute Shinji Okazaki scored after his shot on Andrew Robertson to outwit goalkeeper Danny Ward.

Liverpool tried immediately to equalize the score. This situation actually left a hole in their defense. Leicester was able to use it to double the score in 79 minutes.

Okazaki again became a nightmare for Liverpool. Bait players from Japan is capable of being converted into goals by Islam Slimani.

For Liverpool, this is their first time out in the third round of the English League Cup since 2013. Both teams will meet again in the Premier League this weekend.
